The Samsung U600 ribbon connects both lcds and speaker to the main pcb circuit board. This ribbon has a connecting block at the pcb end with the connector fitted.

Why would you need a new ribbon cable? It is needed when the original screen appears to light up ok, but remains either blank or just shows a plain white screen. This is usually due to wear and tear on the ribbon cable. Other related problems could be some buttons not functioning or maybe the phone was dropped or broken which resulted in a snapped ribbon cable.

No soldering will be required to fit this part, but we do suggest that you do not undertake the fitting unless you are confident and have knowledge in replacing these ribbons. For this reason we do not provide any warranty whatsoever should you damage the ribbon whilst attempting to fit it into your phone.

We however refer you to a company who deal in postal repairs, should you wish to have this product professionally fitted.
